Chessie System Links and Information

Here you can find plenty of information and links to several excellent websites which are either based on or feature the Chessie System (most of which also feature the WM, C&O, and B&O). The reason why this information was not included on the previous page highlighting the Chessie System was simply to keep things more nice and tidy for you, the visitor.

Anyway, as with all websites featured across American Rails, I have visited those listed below and can attest to their excellence and worth in visiting. If you are after information and/or pictures about the Chessie System you should find these websites of great value.

Chessie System Historical Society: The official historical society dedicated to preserving the Chessie System. A relatively new society and not nearly as big as either the C&O or B&O historical organizations it is nevertheless growing and if you're interested, please help them out by becoming a member!

SD45.com: Fine website which features galleries of many fallen flags, including the Chessie System.

Chessie (including C&O) Photo Archive from RRPictureArchives.net: Another fine website that includes galleries of most fallen flags, including a large collection of C&O and Chessie photos.

Chessie (including B&O) Photo Archive from RRPictureArchives.net: The same website as above, this gallery includes a large collection of B&O and Chessie photos.

Chessie (including WM) Photo Archive from RRPictureArchives.net: The same website as above, this gallery includes a large collection of Western Maryland and Chessie photos.

Chessie Photo Archive from George Elwood's Fallen Flags Websitee: In my humble opinion, the best archival database of fallen flag photos on the Internet. To view the Chessie galleries please look in the C&O, B&O, and WM links.

Also, if you might be interested please visit, and consider joining our American Rails Forums; a family-friendly community where there are plenty of knowledgeable folks to help answer any questions you might have.

Lastly, feel free to search the web or American Rails conveniently from the Google search box below if you're after more information on the C&O. As always, if I can be of assistance in any way please do not hesitate to contact me!
