Pennsylvania Railroad Links and Information

Here you can find information and links to several great websites which are either based on or feature the Pennsylvania Railroad. The reason why this information was not included on the previous page highlighting the PRR was simply to keep things more nice and tidy for you, the visitor.

Anyway, as with all websites featured across American Rails, I have visited those listed below and they are well worth visiting. If you are after information and/or pictures about the PRR you should find these websites of great value.

Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society: The PRR Technical & Historical Society is the official organization keeping alive the memory of the Pennsylvania Railroad. They carry vasts amounts of information pertaining to the PRR and if you are interested in being a part of their organization they can always use new members.

PRR Stations: This website features a database of PRR railroad stations and is great reference material and/or for modeling.

Rob's PRR Page: An excellent informational website on the PRR including everything from diagrams to photographs.

Keystone Crossings: Another fine website that includes lots of historical information on the Pennsy.

Chris Brandt's Pennsylvania Railroad Page: Yet another great website featuring lots of historical data and information on the PRR.

Chris Brandt's Pennsylvania Railroad Page: This website includes good information on the Pennsy's steam fleet.

PRR Photo Archive from RRPictureArchives.net: Another fine website that includes galleries of most fallen flags, including a collection of Pennsy photos.

PRR Photo Archive from George Elwood's Fallen Flags Website: In my humble opinion, the best archival database of fallen flag photos on the Internet.

GG1 Information

The GG1 Homepage: A comprehensive guide to the GG1 that details everything from the locomotive’s history to its varying paint schemes and those that survive.

SteamLocomotive.com: More information on Gs courtesy of SteamLocomotive.com.

North East Rails: Roster information on GG1s courtesy of North East Rails.

PRR Locomotive Diagrams: Original, detailed diagrams of the GG1.

Also, if you might be interested please visit, and consider joining our American Rails Forums; a family-friendly community where there are plenty of knowledgeable folks to help answer any questions you might have.

Lastly, feel free to search the web or American Rails conveniently from the Google search box below if you're after more information on the Pennsylvania Railroad. As always, if I can be of assistance in any way please do not hesitate to contact me!
