Brightline Expects Orlando Service on Thursday

Published: November 5, 2026

By: Adam Burns

Brightline said on the evening of November 4 that it expects to resume train service to and from Orlando on Thursday, November 5. Stations in Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach were still operating normally. The railroad told guests to check the train-departures page or the Brightline app for schedules. The post states an expectation. It does not say the trains are already running.

The suspension ran through Wednesday afternoon

An earlier Brightline alert, posted at 12:49 a.m. UTC on November 4, kept the temporary suspension between Orlando and West Palm Beach in place through 2:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, November 4. That alert cited ongoing high water in Brevard County. It said guests with affected reservations would be contacted about travel options, and that service would resume when conditions allow safe movement. The same alert said the South Florida stations were operating normally.

The Thursday expectation, posted at 10:10 p.m. UTC on November 4, does not repeat the high-water line and does not say the water has dropped. The November 2 suspension, and the update that first carried it to Tuesday afternoon, are on the earlier report of the Orlando suspension.

What the departures page showed late Wednesday

At 11:01 p.m. Eastern on November 4, after the expectation post, the Brightline departures page still carried a notice that service between Orlando and West Palm Beach was suspended because of inclement weather. This report uses that banner. It does not read the timetable grid underneath as a resumption.
