Utah Halloween Train Rides (2026)

Utah’s posted 2026 Halloween rides are all at the Heber Valley Railroad in Heber City. The Pumpkin Train is about 40 minutes, with a pumpkin chocolate-chip cookie and a pumpkin to take home. The Halloween Express is about 90 minutes to a stop the railroad calls Grim Hollow, on Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings through October. Witches Night Out is a table in the bar car on that same evening train, with tea and dessert. Fares and the exact dates are on the ticket calendar. The railroad says the evening trains will sell out.

Pumpkin Train

(Heber City): The Pumpkin Train is the short family ride. The railroad says it is about 40 minutes, with hosts on board, a pumpkin chocolate-chip cookie, and a pumpkin from the patch to take home. More food is for sale at the depot. The homepage does not list the days or the fare. Buy it from the ticket calendar on hebertrain.com and read the date there. A tourism calendar is not the reservation.

Halloween Express

(Heber City): The Halloween Express is about 90 minutes, out to Grim Hollow and back. Hosts and a cast ride with you. The railroad calls it family-friendly. It runs Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings throughout October, and the homepage says the trains will sell out. General admission is one ticket. First class is a shared half table for two, or a full table for four, in one of the streamlined cars. The clock and the price are on the ticket you buy.

Witches Night Out

(Heber City): Witches Night Out is not a separate railroad. You ride in the table and bar car as part of the Halloween Express. The ticket includes a poured tea, English scones, Halloween desserts, and one drink, including a Halloween mocktail. It is the dressed-up version of the same evening train. Book that car if the tea is what you want. Book general admission if you want the family ride without the table service.

Planning tips

The Pumpkin Train is the daytime patch ride. The Halloween Express is the evening trip. Witches Night Out is a seat on the evening trip.
Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings are the pattern the railroad prints. Open the calendar for the Monday or Friday you want. October 31, 2026, is a Saturday, so it is not inside that Monday-Thursday-Friday line unless the calendar adds it.
The homepage does not print a fare. Read the seat, including first class, before you pay.
October evenings in Heber are cold. The Express is about 90 minutes.
