Grand Canyon Railway Pumpkin Patch Train (2026)

The Grand Canyon Railway’s 2026 family Halloween ride is the Pumpkin Patch Train from the Williams Depot. The ticket is $39, and that price includes one pumpkin for every ticketed guest. The railway lists select dates in October. The day is on the reservation calendar, not on the marketing page. Haunted train cars are part of the outing for riders who want them. The all-day train to the South Rim is a different ticket.

What the Ride Is Like
You board in Williams and ride to a pumpkin patch the railway says you can reach only by train. The $39 ticket covers the ride, one pumpkin per ticketed guest, time to pick it, and the seasonal setup back at the depot, including a harvest maze. Costumes are encouraged. Haunted train cars are there “for those who dare.” A family that wants the patch and not the scare can skip them. The marketing page calls the ride short and family-friendly, and it says weekend trips are expected to sell out. It does not name a departure time or a locomotive. Buy the date on the reservation screen, and read that screen for the clock.
Tickets & Tips
- The pumpkin is in the $39. It is not a second charge at the patch.
- The event page does not list the October days. The reservation calendar does.
- This is not the South Rim day train, and it is not a promise of steam.
- Arrive with time for the depot activities. The railway says you can come early or stay after the ride.
