Metrolink Lines Will Not Run on Three Routes November 7

Published: November 7, 2026

By: Adam Burns

Metrolink says three lines will not run on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, while crews finish maintenance and rehabilitation. The Upcoming Advisories page says the agency cannot provide substitute transportation on those two days. A separate page on the fiscal year 2027 budget is not this closure. That hearing is California Keeps Metrolink Service in the 2027 Budget.

Ventura County Line

The work closes the track between Los Angeles Union Station and the Ventura-East Station. Ventura County Line trains will not operate between those two points. The advisory points riders who need another public option to the Ventura County Transportation Commission. It does not list a Metrolink bus.

Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County

The same two days, Metrolink will do maintenance and rehabilitation on the Orange County Line and the Inland Empire-Orange County Line. The advisory says that project closes the track. Orange County Line trains will not operate between Los Angeles Union Station and Oceanside. Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains will not operate between San Bernardino and Oceanside. The page does not name a substitute carrier for either line.

The advisory says the work is for the long-term safety and reliability of the system, and it apologizes for the inconvenience. It does not give a clock for the first or last trip, and it does not say the other Metrolink lines are part of this closure.
