River Fox Train Dining (2026): West Sacramento Brunch, Dinner & Mystery

West Sacramento’s River Fox Train is the seated-meal railroad minutes from downtown: themed trains on about ten miles of former Sacramento Northern along the river and Yolo farmland. The plated dinner product is the Murder Mystery Train (meal, dessert, 2.5 hours). The Brunch Train is the daytime seated meal (about 1.5–2 hours, buffet and bottomless mimosas). Beer, wine, tea, and boba trains are tastings, not this page. Board at 18095 County Road 117.

About the River Fox Train
The line is a sister of Mendocino County’s Skunk Train, under Mendocino Railway. It is family-operated and not the California State Railroad Museum. Check in at the ticket booth near Elkhorn Park; arrive 30 minutes before departure. The railroad is ticket-free at the booth—give the name on the reservation. Parking is free. Cashless on board.

What the outing is like
Pick the format before you buy. Brunch is the social daytime meal. Murder Mystery is the evening dinner theater—21+ only as posted, costumes optional, storyline changes by month. The mystery leaf with the plot and booking notes is River Fox murder mystery.
Old Vine Express (21+, wine flight and canapés), Beer Train, Afternoon Tea, and Boba Tea are drink-and-bite trains. Yolo Explorer is the scenic ride with bar service. Those are not the dinner product. Napa Valley Wine Train gourmet lunch and dinner is a different railroad: Napa dining 2026.
