About the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad

GSMR is western North Carolina’s major tourist railroad, operating from Bryson City with multiple excursion products through the year. The signature warm-season trip is the Nantahala Gorge Excursion—along the Nantahala River with a layover near the outdoor center.
